Terms of Service

Last updated July 2026

These terms cover your use of SeatbeltAI (“Seatbelt”), a local-first CLI and the hosted services that support it. By using Seatbelt — including installing or running the CLI, or subscribing — you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

The service

Seatbelt runs browser testing on your machine and provides optional hosted AI flow generation and access management. It is a testing aid, not a guarantee. Seatbelt does not certify that your application is bug-free, secure, or fit for any particular purpose, and it is not a security audit, a compliance audit, or a production-monitoring service.

Some features use AI, and AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. You are responsible for reviewing Seatbelt’s results — and your own code — before you rely on them, commit, merge, or ship.

Your responsibilities

  • Run Seatbelt only against applications and test data you are authorized to test.
  • Keep your API token confidential.
  • Do not resell, or attempt to circumvent the limits of, your plan.

Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe and renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled per our refund policy. Prices are shown on the pricing page and may change with notice for future billing periods.

Fair use & acceptable use

“Unlimited” plans are offered in good faith for normal individual use and are subject to reasonable fair-use and abuse protection. You may not use Seatbelt to attack, overload, probe, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the service or any third-party systems, and you may not use it to break the law or infringe others’ rights.

To protect Seatbelt, our customers, our infrastructure, and our third-party providers, we may apply rate limits and may throttle, suspend, or block usage that harms service reliability, abuses our AI or API resources, attempts to bypass limits, generates excessive load, attacks the service, or resembles automated or distributed abuse.

Warranty & liability

The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Seatbelt is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the prior three months.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of British Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
